Host Family for a Weekend

The second weekend in July, we helped host a group of nine leaders and students from Macau (a Special Administrative Region in China, similar to Hong Kong). Several were people I had met on my previous two trips to China, so it was a treat for me to have them visit us in America.They came to practice their English, experience American culture, and to serve. So we invited the group to join us for our Middle School Mission Camp. More about that below. A highlight was getting to host two of the boys, William and Cedric, in our home for a weekend. We took them to a Royals game, swam at the Gardner pool, and went to see Spiderman at the theater. Kyron and Raylee connected well with the boys, and though we were challenged at times by language, we made some fun memories with the boys.
